Welcome message from chair and co-chair

Dear Colleagues,
We are honored to invite you to The 5th Gulf Conference of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease (GCCMMID), which will be held between November 29th to December 2nd, 2023 in Manama City, Kingdom of Bahrain. GCCMID is an annual international conference, which is well-known as the largest medical microbiology and infectious diseases scientific conferences in the Gulf Corporate Counties (GCC). The reputation which has been built over years of shared knowledge, experience and collaborative work with our valuable partners in the region.

This year marks watershed moment for many reasons. First, it comes after the COVID19 pandemic and related long period of interruption that has, gratefully, ended. Second, this meeting was designed to provide you with a new and different experience. You will find in the workshops and congress program that we have included The AIDS World Day, which will be observed during the conference, and Immunocompromised Host Day. We believe that addition of such important subjects will allow many of you to share experiences and discuss possible opportunities for collaborative academic and clinical projects. Lastly, we have invited many experts to speak in this event from the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, MENA Region and international speakers to enrich your conference moments.

Our main objective is to make this event an informative and joyful experience for our colleagues in the field of infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, clinical pharmacy, critical care, researchers, nurses, trainees and students; where all can meet and have valuable time with us.
